Sunrise at Lucas Point Beach

I woke up in the middle of the night, unable to fall back asleep. My mind wandered to the idea of catching a sunrise over the ocean, but I wasn't close enough to do so. That's when I remembered Greenwich Point Park in Connecticut which was only one hour away. Although I had only been there in the winter, I knew it would be the perfect spot to witness a fall sunrise. When I arrived at the park gates, I was stopped by security, but I didn't let that stop me. I caught a glimpse of a small private beach and knew that's where I needed to be. As I drove past roads marked as "Private," I persisted until I found one that wasn't. I grabbed my camera bag and tripod and ran half a mile until I reached the beach. Despite being out of breath, I set up my equipment and waited for the sun to rise. When it did, the clouds were blocking its view, but I didn't let that discourage me. I noticed a lighthouse nearby and knew it would be the perfect spot to capture the sunrise's beauty if the clouds cleared. And they did!
Thanks for looking at my work.
